KINGSTON, Jamaica – (CARIBUPDATE/Nov 5, 2016) - Three Jamaican acts have been named so far in the line-up for the 8th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival set for the Monterrey County Fair and Event Center from May 26-28, 2017.

Jamaican reggae revivalists Protoje and Jah9 along with dancehall luminary, Yellowman have just been named for the popular festival.

This announcement sees a dynamic range of artistes joining together to make a truly top-tier festival. Some of the biggest names in the hip hop, reggae, rock, and roots worlds from across the country and around the globe are all set to take over.

Also on the line-up is hip-hop legend Nas, Cali Roots favorites SOJA, Stick Figure, Iration, Nahko and Medicine for the People. Also included in this round are Easy Star Records artistes Passafire and reggae powerhouse Easy Star All-Stars. Adding to the international reach of this year’s line-up is New Zealand-based Six60.
